| The Blue Light Amateur Skate Comps are an exciting addition to the Blue Light event's calendar. They're run in conjunction with the Daily Grind Skate Co. and are proving to be a huge success amongst the competitors.

Blue Light branches all over the
metropolitan and country areas are getting on board and running their own
local comps. The winners and place getters from them automatically qualify
to compete in the Blue Light State Amateur Skate Comp that is to be held
each year in approximately March. The comps are open to all 'non-sponsored' skaters between the ages of 9 and up to 18. Sorry to all those out there that can not compete due to being sponsored!! At this stage, there is not the capacity to have inline skaters competing in these comps. The judges that we use specialise in skateboarding. It would either mean trying to have 2 sets of judges on the day (which would make for a really long & confusing comp) or running a separate comp - and quite frankly, at the moment we haven't had the demand for an inline comp. The winners and place-getters from all of the local Blue Light Skate Comps will be invited to compete in a true State Blue Light Comp. So, the more local comps that are run by Blue Light the bigger the State Comp will be. All comps run with the following format:
CATEGORIES:
Under 12's, Under 15's & Under 18's Prizes of cash and donated products are given to the winners and place-getters.
